Garten Havfiske
The MK "Kveitegga" is ready for her season, after a lot of work the last months.
She is now fully certified in area 3 for 9 passengers.
Area 3 is up to 25 nautical miles of nearest port, and that should be more then enough since that covers the area of Frohavet.
"Kveitegga" is an old lady, and there is still some maintenance has to be done this season, but hopefully it won't interrupt the tours to much.
Dry dock is planned the first or second week in July, but I will confirm that later.
What have been done is among others:
-classification with findings made in order.
-new Regatta "Thermo Cruise" lifejackets.
-varnished the hull, and painting.
-full service of engine and many parts is changed. Engine room upgraded.
-rig and sail made in order.

After studying the market on Hitra I have come to the following options regarding the tours.
The tours will be like this, with 3 options:
6-7 hours trip (5-6hrs fishing): this trip is gone be the most used one, and will be in the area outside Ulvøya, Tårnene or Tarva.
In case anyone want to go out when the weather don't allows fishing on this places, a trip in the area around Garten is possible.
Price of this tour is 600 NOK pr. head, with a minimum price of 3600 NOK.
8-9 hours trip (6-7hrs fishing): this trip is for more experienced fishermen, and the area can be west of Asen for ling, Frøyfjorden or outside Inntian and Ulvøy.
Price of this tour is 800 NOK pr. head, with a minimum price of 4000 NOK.
Sightseeing or combined fishing/sightseeing: this tours can be done where ever the participants want to go, and the price depends of how long the trip will last, and how many persons that want to go.
The price will be agreed in each case, but basically 100 NOK pr. person pr. hour.
Rent of fishing rod with hooks: 100 NOK pr. day.
(There are 6 new ones onboard.)
The prices are the same as on Hitra for this season, except that they have a higher minimum price (5000 NOK).
Some practical information for guests that want to participate on a fishing tour:
It is recommended to use the same weight in the end of the lines; otherwise we easily get a tangle.
Minimum weight is 200 gram.
There are allowed to use Maximum 3 hooks on each line, and at least 1 meter between each hook.
We will help to get the fish onboard, and also to prepare it in case that is necessary.
There is knifes and plastic containers for everybody onboard, and you can prepare the fish on the table in the middle of the deck.
Later, when the weather becomes warmer I also will bring ice for the fish.
Minimum age is 12 years for the fishing tours.
The guests are allowed to bring alcohol, but any misuse will not be accepted.
Water, soda and coffee are available onboard.
Some fishing equipment is also available, incase anyone loose their gear.
