Garten Sjøhus
At
the peninsula Fosen, between the
Trondheim fjord and the Norwegian see, you can find the community
Ørland with the little town Brekstad. Ten kilometres further out,
at the edge of the peninsula, you will find the little place
Garten with a few farms and the fishing-harbour.
The
strong tidal stream caused by the water flowing in and out of the
fjord creates the perfect
environment for different kind of fish. Here you can fish in deep
waters from 400 meters up to shallow water areas. Here you will
find some of the best areas for fishing in middle-Norway.
Just
above the harbour lays the cottages of
Garten
Sjøhus with its unique design. The arrangement is as of a
split-level house, and have a very high standard. The cottages
give a beautiful view of the sea and the harbour.
Cottage
1, 2 and 3 can take up to six persons. Number 4, 5 and 6 can take
up to 5 persons. In addition you can rent the Annex, witch is
an extra sleeping-room with its own bathroom.
Garten Sjøhus have a private marina with docks for the boats. The boats
are 17,5 feet with a 25 or
30PS
engine. All boats have an echo sounder. We can also offer chart
plotter on the boat.
For your safety, all boats are equipped with an emergency track
finder in case you should get into trouble.
In
separate houses you will find benches for cleaning fish and an
electric smoke-oven for fish.
At Garten Sjøhus you will find an
Angel shop, where you can
by all the fishing equipment you need. Everything from tackles and
rods to lures suited for this area.
Rods
and reels can also be hired.
At
Garten Sjøhus everything is taken care of, and you can relax and
enjoy the nature and your holidays by the sea.
