Fish export
Taking fish home – how it works.
Norway has tightened the rules for exporting fish. Tourists may only export fish caught under the supervision of a registered fishing tourism business. We help you get the documentation right.
What the export documentation must contain
- Name, date of birth and home address of the person exporting the fish
- Name, address and organisation number of the registered business
- Length of stay and catch dates
- Date of issue
- Name, contact details and signature of the person responsible at the business
What to keep in mind
- Documents are issued per person – not per group.
- The person named in the document must be present when the fish is exported.
- A group may pack its quotas together if everyone travels together and passes customs together.
How we do it: FishReg
The easiest way is for every angler to log their own catch on their phone in the FishReg app. Then everyone has electronic documentation. One person can also enter the data for the whole group. Svein gives you the access code on arrival.
Please have this ready on arrival
Name, home address and date of birth for every angler in your group.
